United Way of Central Indiana logoThe Client

United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) brings organizations and partners together to help community members experiencing crisis, create pathways for families to succeed, and stop generational poverty. As a leader in the Central Indiana community, UWCI builds coalitions to advocate for public policy, captures and leverages data to drive community investment, and equips organizations with capacity and funding to meet their missions.

The Challenge

The United Way network is undergoing a strategic shift to modernize fundraising efforts and technical capacity, a transformation UWCI has been at the forefront of. With growing emphasis on donor engagement and revenue generation, UWCI needed a user-friendly system that could more readily track their progress towards new strategies.

The Solution

UWCI partnered with Beyond the Horizon to implement Empower Pack, a package solution built on the Salesforce NPSP platform equipped to manage the complexity of United Way business processes, while allowing UWCI to configure components to track their strategic plan direction and organizational goals. Their efforts focused on enhancing donor engagement, optimizing fundraising & finance processes, and fostering internal adoption.

In addition to their implementation, UWCI leverages monthly Ongoing Services from Beyond the Horizon to support ongoing enhancements and maintenance of their environment. Troubleshooting, training sessions, and ongoing support are leveraged to provide additional resources to the local administrators, promote internal adoption, and empower team members.
